Hi All I'm thinking of buying an older HP Indigo. Probably 5500 or 7000 or similar. Now, we are a small specialty printshop. Will run maybe 500-1000 prints a day and i do not want to spend $300.000 on a certified used one. How difficult is it to maintain these machines? And when it comes to it, is it even possible to find parts and a service tech fix things. (USA Virginia area) thanks
If you print on difficult substrates Indigo is the best imho but 500-1000 prints -by prints you mean sheets i presume- its not worth it
Thanks but I'm trying to see how difficult it is to maintain the machines and find parts and service outside of a service contract.
Yeah, you should go with the 7000 instead... btw I run a 5600 in my country and the machine is outside of service contract, and let me tell you that maintenance turns to be expensive even when I make good use of the press, consumables are expensive and parts sometimes take a long time to arrive, and not to mention the tech service, if you have or you are a skilled operator you can save some money by installing parts for yourself. Honestly I find it worth it if you print at least 4,000 sheets a day
Hello Boss I would like to know if you have HP indigo consumble for sale ? Such as PIP or blanket for series2
